Please join us for a special OAS collaboration with dance collective, Tales Between Our Legs!! We go on first at 9PM so don't be late! And make sure to stick around for La Louma + The Pack a.d.! They are INCREDIBLE and we're pinching ourselves daily about all of it.
Tickets and info:
11PM / The Pack a.d. / Destruction and melody, acid wit and bruising vocals-this is the Pack A.D. Singer/guitarist Becky Black and drummer Maya Miller have made a sound so gigantic, so fierce and raw and empowering, that it's easy to forget there are just two people behind this brilliant, carefully constructed havoc. Shredding and pounding their way through every song, the Pack A.D. swallows you whole inside their fearless Franken-blend of heavy psychpop/garage-rock. Their lyrics are wild nests, human and complex: darkly funny disclosures about depression; indictments of digital excess; grief-stricken fire bombs; sly crusades against stupidity. New record, Dollhouse, out October 13 2017.
10PM / La Louma / The solo art-rock/pop project of multi-instrumentalist and former St. Vincent collaborator Lauren Ross, whose debut album drops Nov 3, 2017 via Bitchwave, the feminist/queer collective and label she co-runs in Los Angeles. On her debut, she explores heavy subject matter in an upbeat atmosphere, merging her classical training with a strong DIY queer punk ethos that was fostered by the same Olympia WA scene that birthed Bikini Kill, Sleater-Kinney, and Gossip.
9PM / OBJECT AS SUBJECT / LA-based art punk band led by Paris Hurley (vox, drums, dance // Kultur Shock) featuring Gina Young (bass, vox // SORORITY, Feminist Acting Class) and Emilia "Pony Sweat" Richeson (dance, drums). This feminist battle cry is a call to action fueled by raw wailing vocals, a barrage of floor toms, gritty bass riffs, and contemporary dance that converges in the space between Gaga vocabulary + 80’s workout videos.
